Cult of the b side - The Bible

I recently posted about the wonderful Bible reunion concert. Well they werent that bad with their b sides either.

I'm not sure which of the seemingly endless releases of Graceland that this one comes from but it would have fitted perfectly on the first lp

High Wide and Handsome - The Bible

  1. Revisiting my old demos is bringing back all sorts of memories from the late 80s and early 90s.
I'd forgotten quite how taken I was with The Bible, particularly the song 'Graceland'. I saw them live many times, most memorably at some London college where they were supported by a very young and eager Deacon Blue.

  2. Hi Trevor

now that must have been a great concert!
On the other extreme I once went to a gig where the support act was a mna banging a drum and shouting

  3. It was a fine night; almost as good as the other 'double header' I've enjoyed: in the early 80s I saw Nils Lofgren on tour; he played most of his solos whilst somersaulting from a small trampoline. Apparently on his current tour he puts on hobnail boots and tap dances on sheet metal.
Back to the 80's; his support that night was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers who had just released their debut album in the uk and were enjoying a hit with 'American Girl'. Now that was a night out...
