Lazy Sunday - Pale Fountains

Lazy sunday and top of the shuffle pile is a track from the Pale Fountains. What i like is like all their stuff it feels timeless , could have been released in the 60s , the time of Britpop or whenever and not felt out of place. In fact the only time their sound was a tad out of place was in the early 80s when it was released

Hey - The Pale Fountains

  1. such a good band , i don't think virgin knew how to market them at the time . I love Jeans not happening - great production .

  2. One of the great examples of Rock as pop music. There are so many layers in the PF sound and that's what gives it that timeless but out of place feeling.

  3. Hi Jay and Echo

thanks for your comments - agree re Virgin I remember about the time of thankyou they were being lumped in with those new pop bands like ABC / Haircut 100 etc when the were probably closer in to the other liverpool bands
